Ft. Belvoir Community Hospital, Virginia
Provided commissioning services for Fort Belvoir’s new 1.2 million sf, $747 million state-of-the-art community hospital. The hospital will grow from 46 to 120 beds, and will add approximately 1,700 staff members to the existing 1,500. The care facilities are supported by a Central Utility Plant (CUP), which provides stable electrical power and HVAC services supporting the main hospital building and four clinical centers.
National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE), Maryland
PI provided design review and commissioning services for this two-story, 75,000 sf facility which includes medical treatment and research, instructional and auditorium, data environment, and supporting MEP facilities. PI provided full life-cycle commissioning, including design phase, construction phase, and post construction phase commissioning. In addition, PI provided LEED™ enhanced building commissioning services for the HVAC systems and reliability commissioning to the power systems, which are supported by emergency power and UPS.
San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), Texas
Provided Total Building and LEED™ Commissioning Services for the San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), a $556 million, 1.2 million sf, 120 bed healthcare facility. The hospital includes a 738,000 sf Consolidated Tower. Because of the considerable amount of additional square-footage that was added to this facility, new auxiliary heating and cooling needs were fulfilled with a 5,600 sf two-story Central Energy Plant.
