SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for maintaining effective management, supervision, and coordination of all departmental functions related to engineering, installation, subcontracting and other functions necessary to complete commitments for construction, building services, project development and/or performance assurance work in order to meet or exceed schedule and profit objectives for assigned project.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develops productive relationships with consulting engineers, contractors, owners, architects, suppliers, and trade personnel
  • Plans effectively by forecasting the need for equipment, materials, personnel, revenue, and job costs for all phases of operations
  • Maintains control of all inventory by enforcing procedures and by providing final approvals on all orders for material
  • Manages revenue, expenses and cash management for project
  • Receive, organize and review information from the salesperson or project development. ·
  • Schedule and conduct the Sales Release meeting.
  • Prepare and update project schedule and cost estimates.
  • Obtains, organizes, and maintains all project contract documents.
  • Coordinates project in accordance with contract documents and approved sales estimate.
  • May prepare installation subcontractor bidding documents and negotiates subcontracts.
  • Reviews and approves material and subcontract invoices for payment.
  • Supervise, direct, coach and mentor all project personnel.
  • Coordinates and directs project closure to customer.
  • May lead small to medium complex field audits and approve audit reports and results.
  • May manage changes to BAS and additional software engineering.
  • Prepares project billing revenue forecasts and schedule of values.
  • Prepares and delivers final project documentation and collects payments.
  • Maintains all on site responsibilities for each project
  • Responsible for implementing and ensuring workers follow safety program
  • Other duties may be assigned.

EDUCATION:

Four (4) year college degree required or equivalent work experience

EXPERIENCE:

10 to 15 years, must have experience with Mechanical contracts $3 million +

SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Advanced understanding of HVAC, access or other building or electronic control system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to, MS Project, Word and Excel and outside vendor hardware knowledge required
  • DDC controls product knowledge and vendor hardware product knowledge required
  • Strong knowledge of contracting procedures and tactics relative to such areas as project correspondence, documentation, timely notice of claims, subcontract negotiation and subcontract administration
  • Clear understanding of Revenue, Cost, Cash Flow, and Profit and Loss
