Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking a self-motivated, creative, and highly organized person to fill the position of Marketing Coordinator. This position is located in Primary Integration’s McLean, VA office and will also support offices in Charlotte, NC. This position will report to the Marketing Manager.

The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with project managers, business development staff, and the marketing staff throughout the company to provide proposal coordination for our commissioning team. The position will involve writing and formatting proposals, and will be responsible for maintaining internal databases or marketing information, tracking business development efforts, and researching opportunities as needed. Coordination with other offices and corporate marketing staff is also required.

This is a full-time position that will require periodic overtime, including working evenings and/or weekends as necessary to meet submission deadlines.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage, lead, and assist in the planning, preparation, and production of proposals, government forms, and statements of qualifications in response to public sector and private sector requests. This requires coordination with PI staff as well as sub-consultants and teaming partners.
  • Write, format, and fact-check documents used in proposal preparation and business development. Collaborate with marketing team on editing and proofreading.
  • Track and follow-up on the details of submission requirements.
  • Monitor online solicitation systems and distribute relevant solicitations as appropriate in a timely manner.
  • Manage a database of Business Development information and opportunities, including maintaining and updating staff resumes, project information, and other documents in the databases.
  • Be willing to work evenings and weekends as necessary to meet submission deadlines.
  • Participate in post-award debriefings and revise Statement of Qualifications/proposal strategies as appropriate
  • Work with the corporate marketing program to produce marketing work products as necessary.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Demonstrated experience writing and managing proposals
  • A bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Business, Marketing, or related discipline; degrees in other specialties are acceptable if relevance can be demonstrated
  • 6-8 years of experience in a comparable position
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite programs
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to multi-task
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines in a sometimes fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize effectively while successfully supporting multiple proposals and deadlines
  • Strong proofreading, writing, and formatting skills
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible with changing work priorities
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work closely with and communicate well with staff in off-site locations

 

Preferred:

  • Technical background knowledge in A/E/C industry
  • Good eye for layout and sense of design
  • Experience in a consulting environment
  • Ability to work closely with colleagues with varying interpersonal skills
