Steve Johnson
Corporate Senior Vice President, Critical Environments
Steve Johnson is the Corporate Senior Vice President of Critical Environments for PI, and is responsible for the strategic development and management of mission critical clients worldwide across all business units, including EDG2. Steve has been an industry leader in the critical facilities and data center fields for over thirty years, serving as a key advisor to a number of large clients, including Bank of America, Cisco, and EDS. His expertise stretches from organizational design to process mapping to technical training. He has established standards in critical environments and created metrics in evaluating and establishing trends.
Steve is one of the founders of the Critical Facility Round Table (CFRT,
www.cfroundtable.org), which is dedicated to the discussion and resolution of industry issues regarding the engineering, design, and maintenance of mission critical facilities. He is also a supporter and reviewer of standards and industry practices for the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), taking part in determining what is established and voted on as data center best practices. He holds a B.S. from Brigham Young University.
